Summertime at UTSA is different than your typical fall and spring semesters. There are several terms available, shorter weeks, and overlapping dates and deadlines depending on your enrollment. We're here to help guide you toward a successful and breezy summertime.

Registration Instructions

Each timeframe has a start date/time when students in that classification tin register earlier registration opens for the adjacent classification.

Check your registration status & holds: Log into ASAP to check your current classification and earned credit hours.

Log into ASAP: Students must log into their ASAP student portal to register for, add or drop semester credit hours. In that location are course maximums students must adhere to during summer.

Waitlists will be open for the ten-week, 8-week, 5-calendar week and four-week terms.

Additionally, please note classroom (location) assignments will not be available during registration. Classrooms are assigned approximately two weeks before the scheduled start of the semester.

Maximum Grade Registration

Students may enroll in no more than 15 credit hours during the entire summer, regardless of the combination of terms. There are also limitations to how many credit hours you tin have during the diverse summer terms:

3 credit hr maximum in a 3-week term
4 credit hour maximum in a 4-week term
half-dozen credit hr maximum in a 5-calendar week term
nine credit hour maximum in a eight-week term
12 credit hr maximum in a x-calendar week term

Note: Students on academic probation or academic warning may enroll in no more than 7 credit hours during the entire summer semester and students on probation may non enroll in a grade offered in a term of fewer than five weeks.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Dates and deadlines will vary based on the summertime term(s) y'all are registered and can be found in the Summer Bookish Calendar. Detect out more than information regarding some of the important dates and deadlines beneath.

If you decide to non nourish the summer term you are registered for, you will need to withdraw from all classes within the term before the first day of class for a 100% tuition and fee refund. The refund amount starts to decrease the get-go day of form.
